26 WEEK ULTRASOUND

We went for our 3d ultrasound on Saturday and it was amazing.  Taylor was not being real cooperative because she was sleeping and when she sleeps she has her hand over her head.  Cookie and Ronnie got to watch the whole thing online so we were so excited they got to enjoy the experience also.  After some Hi C, a few brownies and a jog down the hall, we were able to get Taylor to take her hands off her face and get a shot of her little face.  Of course we think she is adorable.  I believe she favors Clay more than me in the face and she does appear to have Linda's nose.  I am sorry I can't get the pictures bigger... if I can figure it out, I will enlarge them.  

6 Months

I went this week for my gestational diabetes test and should hear back this week but I believe everything is alright. The doctor measured my stomach and checked my weight and everything was right on target. I have gained 13 lbs so far. We are having a 3d/4d ultrasound on the 20th of this month and I can't wait to see what little Taylor looks like. She is moving all the time now and you can watch my stomach move which is kind of funny. I will update pictures when I get them.

20 WEEKS

We went for our 20 week ultrasound yesterday. Linda (aka Cookie) and my mom came with us to see little Taylor. The doctors did a scan on all parts of her and everything is perfectly normal. She is weighing 13 oz right now and about 7 inches long. I think she looks like me but she likes to sleep with one hand on her head just like her daddy. We have seen this on more than one ultrasound. I have gained 8 lbs so far and the doctor expects me to gain a pound a week from here on out. I can finally feel her when she moves and kicks and Clay could even a feel a kick the other night when he had his hand on my belly...looking at her legs and feet I am not surprised. She seemed so cramped up in there already...those are her feet on top of her head. Clay and I got invited to the CMA's tonight so Taylor will get to hear Keith Urban before she is ever born. YAY!!

Nursery Pics

Below are some pictures of the start of the nursery. The bedding on the crib will actually be cream instead of green...it has been ordered and the one in the picture will be going back. I am not sure how clear it is in the picture but the walls are a light green (honeydew).

4 Months

I went to the doc for my 16 week checkup today and everything was normal. They didn't do much but I heard Taylor's heart beating and got my weight and blood pressure checked. I have gained 4 pounds. She said I should start to feel her anytime between now and my next check up at 20 weeks. I have started work on the nursery and will put pictures up as soon as I get the walls painted. I promise I will get some pics up of my belly too since I know everyone is ready to see those.

ITS A GIRL!!

We have an appointment on October 7 (Clay's Birthday) to find out what we are having. YAY!! SO EXCITED!

Update: We found out yesterday we are having a baby girl so she will named Taylor Quinn Rogers.

3 1/2 Months

I am 14 weeks now and I feel like a new person. No more nausea and my energy levels are back up. I actually think my food cravings have gotten healthier since getting pregnant. All I want are salads and fruit...oh yeah and pickles. I went shopping for some maternity shirts over the weekend and was successful in finding some cute things to get me by a little while. Clay and I are considering making an appointment at a 3d ultrasound place next week to find out the sex of the baby. We will let you know what we decide.

1st Trimester

We are finally through the first trimester which is such a relief although the nausea hasn't subsided yet. Hopefully I will start feeling better any day now. We had our first big ultrasound and the doctor said we had a very active baby...not really surprised considering the daddy. She also said that it has long skinny legs which had us thinking... maybe a girl? I guess we will find out soon enough. We already have names picked out for a boy or girl.  Clayton Lee if its a boy (after Clay's granddaddy) and Taylor Quinn if its a girl.  We will keep you updated with photos of the baby and my growing belly.
